Trading Plan Worksheet
Placeholders show Warrior Trading's own worked example — write your own answers in each field.
Pre-Trading Checklist
Meant to be re-filled each morning before you trade — this holds only your latest check-in, not a history log.

The Trading Plan Worksheet's progression table, plus where your own numbers currently land.

Risk rules calculator
Based on this trader's own worked example: aim for roughly 75% accuracy with average winners about 2x average losers (a ~2:1 reward:risk). Their first week of a small-account challenge used fixed dollar rules — risk $50 to make $100, a daily max loss of -$100, and three consecutive losing trades ends the trading day. The percentages below scale that same idea to any account size — not a mandate, just their worked example.
Breakeven win-rate reference
The win rate needed to break even, for a given reward:risk ratio — look up whatever ratio you're actually trading.

| 1:5 | 83% |
| 1:3 | 75% |

| 1:1 | 50% |
| 2:1 | 33% |
| 3:1 | 25% |
| 5:1 | 17% |

Filters
Defaults roughly match the 5 pillars already; tighten min/max price to $5–$10 for the worksheet's "sweet spot" if you want a shorter list.
Save the four fields above as a named preset (e.g. "Sweet spot $5-$10", "Loose net") and switch between them instantly — synced across your devices like everything else here.
Alerts — how they work
The "Enable alerts" button above turns on browser notifications plus a two-tone audio chime the moment a ticker hits a full 5/5 Pillars score, or a tracked ticker's news freshness newly turns 🔥 (<2h) — the sound means you don't have to be looking at the tab to catch it. Each ticker alerts once per day per condition — no repeat spam on every 60s refresh.
Limitation: these only fire while this tab is open in a browser (it can be backgrounded/minimized and still work in most browsers), not when the browser or device is fully closed. Phone alerts that work with everything closed go through Telegram instead — server-side, no tab needed (see docs/telegram-alerts-plan.md).
The server-side alert check (runs every 2 minutes regardless of whether this tab is open) dedupes per ticker per condition per day — this shows what's already fired today, so you don't have to check your phone to know.

How this scanner works — 5 Pillars, news, catalysts
- Today's Top Picks — a 3-ticker daily shortlist at the top of the page, ranked by the same Setup Grade score used everywhere else, pulled from everything just fetched regardless of your Filters or Watchlist-only toggle below. Inspired by Trade Ideas' "Holly" digest — still a mechanical score, not investment advice.
- Your notes — every row's detail panel has a free-text notes field (entry plan, why you're watching it, anything to remember later). Tickers with a saved note show a 📝 icon next to the symbol so you can spot them without expanding. Stored in this browser only, not synced across devices.
- Click any row to expand it — each ticker is a compact summary line (rank, change %, symbol, price, volume, rel vol, float, Pillars score). Click the row (or the ▶ arrow) to open its detail panel: the full Pillars breakdown, last-3-news history, and manual override fields for float/avg-volume/catalyst.
- 5 Pillars scoring — relative volume ≥5x, up ≥10% on the day, a real news catalyst, price $2–$20 ($5–$10 sweet spot), float under 20M (10M preferred). Editable in Filters above — it's synced everywhere, including the Telegram alert check.
- Live data, auto-refreshing every 60 seconds — relative volume and float are computed for real from Finviz Elite, no manual entry or API key needed here. A manual override per ticker is still available (in the row's detail panel) if you have better data for a specific symbol.
- News freshness, checked automatically for the top rows — the top gainers are auto-checked for fresh news right after each refresh, no click needed; everything else has a "Check news now" button in the detail panel. Pulls the latest real headline's publish time from Finnhub, shown as an age icon next to the symbol: 🔥 <2h · 🟢 <4h · 🟡 <12h · 🟠 <24h · ⚪ 24h+. Expand the row for the last 3 articles with exact date/time and a link to each source. Sortable via the "News" sub-header (freshest first). Cached per ticker per day.
- Catalyst quality — earnings, FDA approvals, clinical results, and new contracts count toward the News pillar. A merger/buyout/acquisition catalyst is flagged and deliberately excluded — once a buyout price is set, the stock tends to go flat.
- Short % — short float and short ratio (days to cover), shown in each row's detail panel. High short interest on a low-float mover is exactly the setup that produces a short squeeze.
- Ranking — rows are numbered by rank; the top 3 get a leader highlight, the top 10 a subtle tint, mirroring "page one of a search."
- Trading window — this system's real trading window is roughly 7:00–11:00am EST, most active in the first 1–2 hours after the market opens.
Data still isn't tick-by-tick real-time — treat this as a watchlist builder, not a live execution feed. It also can't show real Level 2 (order book depth) or Time and Sales — check that on your actual broker platform before every entry (see the Level 2 & Time and Sales lesson).
